Honored Kate Gallego and the Phoenix Metro Area – Valley of the Sun Clean Cities awarded Kate Gallego, the Mayor of Phoenix and the Phoenix Metro Area a plaque recognizing Valley of the Sun as the nation’s leader of reducing vehicle emissions in all U.S. Metro Areas. Major contributions of vehicle emission reductions were realized by Valley Metro Transportation, Sky Harbor Airport, and the City of Phoenix Fleet Operations.

Our Executive Director, Bill Sheaffer had the opportunity to write an article in the Arizona Republic. He spoke about the $4 day, which essentially explains how you can ride all Arizona public transportation (i.e. skytrain, light-rail, and bus system) for a total of $4 a day.
